The original Bolga basket bag is a common name for a number of different hand-woven baskets with leather handles.

The baskets are produced by women from Northern Ghana, who, besides farming, are dependent on basket production as a means of living. The baskets are made from elephant grass, are unique and are produced in multiple patterns and colour combinations.
